The scent isn’t too strong but is definitely noticeable if you apply the product to your bangs or anywhere close to your nose. The smell does linger about an hour or so after application, so get ready for some compliments. I was afraid this was going to smell like wax or plastic, but this smells just like the brand’s hair dyes (which anyone who has tried the brand can attest to how delicious they smell.) Even on rainy days the smell cheers me up immediately. Oh, the smell! The bergamot and sweet orange essential oils make this smell like a sunny day. When I first started using Poser Paste I thought it was going to be runny, but this is truly a paste. It doesn’t drip when on my hands either which I love. It’s not sticky and can be easily spread on the hands and hair. Some oil leaked in my bag and rubbed the ink off of the label. Ex-Girl and Steal My Sunshine were a part of the original launch and Narwhal is one of the newer colors.

Today I’m reviewing three colors: Ex-Girl, Steal My Sunshine and Narwhal. Poser Paste launched in 2017 with four colors but recently expanded to eight shades. It’s safe on all hair types and colors, and washes out with your favorite shampoo. The product stays intact when exposed to limited amounts of water, like light rain. Poser Paste is Hair Makeup: washable color that you apply to your hair. It is as versatile and creative as the person using it and can be applied all-over, on tips, roots, bangs, or wherever you want a burst of color. I’ve been wanting bright, colorful hair since I was 13, but the thought of bleaching my hair still scares me. If you can’t choose just one shade, try some color blocking by using different shades on different sections of the hair.īTW, this works beautifully on curly hair: scrunch it into your hair like curl cream to maintain the shape of your ringlets.Ever wanted to dye your hair but can’t commit? I feel you. Get creative to make your own custom shade. Note that you may need to shampoo more than once to fully remove the product, depending on how much you apply.Ĭonsider the color of your hair when choosing a shade, as it may impact the undertone of your Poser Paste. Wear the color as long as you want and wash it when you’re over it with your favorite shampoo. Heat tools are fine once the product dries. To tone down the color and achieve a more ‘natural’ look, brush it out right away. The product dries quickly, so work in small sections. Color can be used as an accent on the ends, to paint sections of a braid, or to slick back a ponytail. Start small and build up the color until you achieve the vibrancy you want. Take a small amount out of the jar, rub fingers together, and apply the color to clean, dry hair.
